This is a true circuit of the high atlas. This round-trip takes five days; have your guide arrange tents.
Given a bit more time, consider making the four-hour trek from the base of Toubkal to overnight at Lake Ifni, taking another night at Tissaldari village camp With the exception of the ascent of Toubkal.
Today we drive to the start of our trek, a two hour journey across the Haouz plain to Imlil (1740m). From here we head up to Sidi Chamharouch an Islamic shrine, and then on to the recently extended and comfortable Neltner Refuge at a height of 3,207m.
Trek to the highest peak in North Africa, Toubkal (4167 m), and return to Neltern refuge. Views of the Marrakech plain and volcanic cone of Siroua Mountain. Dinner and accommodation in the refuge or camping.
Walk through Tizi N’waggan pass to the Ifni lake (2312m) one of the most beautiful parts of the Toubkal massif. Camping by the lake.
Our trekking takes us along the mule track to Tissaldari village (2100m. Dinner and overnight in a Berber house.
After a short walk we cross Tizi N’Tahart pass and via beautiful valleys we arrive to Aremd village. We set off down to the Berber trailhead village of Imlil the end of the trek, where we meet our vehicle at 1500h to take us to Marrakech.
