The Atlas Mountains are perhaps one of the most enchanting aspects of Morocco. Mount TOUBKAL, the highest peak in the North Africa, rises at 4167 metres, 50 miles south of Marrakech. The Toubkal area has a distinctly Himalayan quality.
By its very nature our trekking tour are very achievable as it does not require any rock climbing or mountaineering skills.
After breakfast you will travel to the road head in the mountains at Imlil (1740 metres Start trek form Imlil, and continue on stunning walk through the breathtaking mountain scenery of the valley of Ait Mizan. before continuing on to the Neltner Hut at Toubkal Base Camp (3207m) for dinner and overnight. 6 hours walking Alt. gain 1470m Alt. loss zero m.
we start early for our Toubkal ascent, across the valleys and lower summits of the High Atlas range and landscape of the pre-Sahara. All around us are the many jagged peaks of the High Atlas stretching into the distance. We descend to the Neltner Refuge for lunch, descent down to Imlil then Return to Marrakech at 4pm. This is a long, but tremendously rewarding day of walking.
